Condition
Some customers may comment that the front seat is uncomfortable when the front
of the seat cushion is full down and the seat back is reclined.
Cause
This condition may be due to the seat cushion trim cover back seam moving forward
when the seat assembly is adjusted to a particular position.
Correction
Reposition the seat cushion back seam to the rear.
- Remove the power seat adjustment and lumbar control knobs from the seat
cushion switch plate.
- Carefully remove the switch trim plate.
- Remove the seat cushion cover J channel (1) from the seat bottom frame
(3).
- Carefully separate the trim cover from the foam bun (2).
- Disengage the trim cover's orange loop threaded seam from the Velcro®
on the foam bun.
- Reposition the cushion trim cover slightly rearward and set the orange
loop threaded seam on the rearward edge of the Velcro®.
Important: If seat is heated, ensure harness wires are
pulled through the holes in the foam bun.
- Install the cushion trim cover onto the foam bun.
- Install the seat cushion cover J channel.
- Install the switch trim plate.
- Install the power seat adjustment and lumbar control knobs to the switch
trim plate.
