Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 1997 🢒 Firebird 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 3.8L 🢒 Oil Pump Suction Pipe and Screen Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 26202 Size: SH
  2. Remove the oil pump screen attaching bolts.
  3. Remove the oil pump screen.
  4. Clean the screen and housing with solvent and blow dry.
  5. Clean the gasket mating surfaces on the pipe flange and cylinder block.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 26202 Size: SH
  1. Install the oil pump screen gasket.
  2. Install the oil pump screen.
  3. Install the oil pump screen bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pump screen bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  4. Install the oil pan. Refer to Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
