- Turn the ignition ON and the engine OFF.
- Disconnect the engine coolant temperature gauge sensor connector.
- Using J 33431-C
J33431 or equivalent, connect one red clip lead from the tester to the sensor
connector terminal A.
- Connect the other red clip lead to ground.
- Adjust the resistance dials of the tester to 380 ohms
and then 55 ohms.
Does the coolant temperature gauge register 71°C (160°F) and
then 127°C (200°F)?
