The condition of an automatic transaxle not operating properly may be influenced by one or a combination of the following items:

| • | The throttle valve (TV) cable may be out of adjustment. Refer to Automatic Transmission Throttle Valve Cable Adjustment . |
| • | The shift select cable may be out of adjustment. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement . |
| • | The transaxle may have internal fluid leaks. Refer to the Transmission Unit Repair Manual. |
| • | There may be a problem with the electrical system. Refer to Engine Electrical. |
| • | The vehicle may have a problem in the transaxle or in the other mechanical components. |
