Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2000 🢒 Firefly (Canada) 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Body Rear End 🢒 Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 350655 Size: SH

    Caution: The torsion bars are under spring tension. Use care when removing the torsion bars to avoid personal injury.

  2. Remove the torsion bars (2) from the following components:
    3. • The hinge (1)
    • The vehicle
  3. Lower the rear seat.
  4. Remove 2 screws which secure the high mounted stoplamp.
  5. Position the stoplamp in order to access the partition trim.
  6. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
    7. • 2 carpet buttons
    • The partition trim

  7. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
    8. • The retaining clip
    • The hinge pin
    • The hinge
  8. Repeat for the opposite side, if needed.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 350656 Size: SH
  1. Install the hinge to the vehicle using the following components:
    2. • The hinge pin
    • The retaining clip
  2. Install the opposite hinge, if removed.
  3. Install the rear partition trim to the vehicle. Secure the trim with the 2 carpet buttons.
  4. Install the high mounted stop lamp to the vehicle. Secure the lamp with 2 screws.
  5. Raise the rear seat.

  6. Install the torsion bars (2) to the hinges (1).
  7. Install the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement .
