Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2008 🢒 G5 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.0L 🢒 Exhaust Manifold Installation

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 412550 Size: SH
  1. Install new exhaust manifold studs.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the studs to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1769551 Size: SH
  2. Install the block heater, if equipped.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the block heater bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1769555 Size: SH
  3. Install the exhaust manifold gasket.
  4. Install the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head.
  5. Install NEW exhaust manifold to cylinder head retaining nuts finger tight.

    6. Object Number: 1340643 Size: SH
  6. Tighten the NEW exhaust manifold to cylinder head retaining nuts in sequence.

    7. Tighten

    1. Tighten the exhaust manifold nuts to 14 N·m (10 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the exhaust manifold nuts a second time to 14 N·m (10 lb ft).

  7. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.
  8. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
