Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket Replacement 3.6L Engine

Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

1. Remove the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement.



2. Remove the compressor drive belt idler pulley to compressor mounting bracket retaining bolt (2).
3. Remove the compressor drive belt idler pulley (1).



4. Remove the compressor mounting bracket to cylinder block retaining bolts  (1).
5. Remove the compressor mounting bracket (2) from the cylinder block (3).

1. Position the compressor mounting bracket (2) to the cylinder block (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the compressor mounting bracket to cylinder block retaining bolts (1).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).




3. Install the compressor drive belt idler pulley (1).
4. Install the compressor drive belt idler pulley to compressor mounting bracket retaining bolt (2).

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).

5. Install the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement.
