  1. Visually inspect the park brake shoe spring (1) for the following conditions:
    2. • Bent
    • Broken
    • Missing
    • Excessive corrosion

  2. Visually inspect the adjuster hardware (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) for the following conditions:
    3. • Bent
    • Broken
    • Binding
    • Missing
    • Excessive corrosion
  3. Refer to Park Brake Hardware Replacement in order to replace the following components:
    4. • The shoe spring
    • The adjusting screw (1)
    • The adjusting nut (2)
    • The pushrod (7)
    • The washer (6)
    • The adjuster tappet (5)
  4. Refer to Rear Disc Brake Backing Plate Replacement in Disc Brakes in order to replace the following components:
    5. • The anchor bracket (3)
    • The shoe actuating lever (4)
    • The pawl adjuster (8)
