  1. Set the parking brake.
  2. Remove the console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    3. Object Number: 651293 Size: SH
  3. Lift and unlock the shift cable retainers.

    4. Object Number: 651294 Size: SH
  4. Push the shifter neutral lock clip. Move the shifter slightly in order to center the lock clip.
  5. Ensure that the transmission is in neutral.

    6. Object Number: 646529 Size: SH
  6. Press and lock the shift cable retainers.

    7. Object Number: 651290 Size: SH
  7. Pull the shifter neutral lock clip to its original position.
  8. Install the console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
