J 39363 Supercharger Actuator Adjuster

1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
2. Remove the boost control solenoid (4). Refer to Boost Control Solenoid Replacement .
3. Remove the vacuum hose from the bypass valve actuator (2).
4. Remove the bypass valve actuator mounting bolts and rotate the bypass valve actuator until the rod disengages the lever.

1. Install the J 39363 to the actuator.

Important: When installing the bypass valve actuator to the supercharger, rotate the assembly until the bypass valve shaft lever comes in contact with the stop block.

2. Rotate the bypass valve actuator (2) until the rod engages the lever.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

3. Install the bypass valve actuator bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

4. Remove the J 39363 .
5. Install the vacuum hose to the bypass valve actuator (2).
6. Install the boost control solenoid (4). Refer to Boost Control Solenoid Replacement .
7. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
