Preliminary Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
  4. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .

Hose Assembly, Radiator Outlet

Tip

    • Using J 38185 position radiator outlet hose clamps aside and remove hose from the fittings.
    • Note routing of the radiator outlet hose to ensure proper insulation.

Radiator Outlet Hose Assembly

Tip

    • Using J 38185 hose clamp pliers position radiator outlet hose clamps aside and remove hose from the fittings.
    • Remove radiator outlet hose push in retainer from the engine bracket and cradle.
    • Note routing of the radiator outlet hose to ensure proper insulation.
