Did you perform the Power Windows System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Backprobe the master window switch harness connector. Use the J 39200 Digital Multimeter (DMM) in order to measure the voltage between terminal A and ground.
  3. Place the left front window switch in the DOWN position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 3

  1. Backprobe the master window switch harness connector. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal E and ground.
  2. Place the left front window switch in the UP position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

  1. Disconnect the left front window motor.
  2. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal A of the left front window harness connector and ground.
  3. Place the left front window switch in the DOWN position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

Replace the master window switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

  1. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal B of the left front window harness connector and ground.
  2. Place the left front window switch in the UP position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in CKT 165 between the master window switch and the left front window motor. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the left front window motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .

Repair the open in CKT 164 between the master window switch and the left front window motor. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
