Mobile Telephone Microphone Replacement without Sunroof

1. Lower the headliner enough to gain access to the opening in the overhead compartment. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
2. Disconnect the wire harness electrical connection (2) for the OnStar microphone (3).
3. With a flat-bladed tool disengage the retaining tabs (4) on the microphone (3).



4. Push the microphone (3) out of the overhead console (1).
5. Route the electrical connector (2) through the opening in the overhead console (1).

2. Align the retaining tabs on the microphone (3) to the splines on the overhead console (1).



3. Push the microphone (3) into the overhead console (1) until the retaining tabs (4) are fully engaged.
4. Connect the wire harness electrical connector (2) to the microphone (3).
5. Install headliner to a desired appearance. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
