Circuit Description

The data communication system monitors this circuit. If an open is detected, DTC B1499 will set.

This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:

DTC B1499 Multiplex Communication Circuit

Conditions for Running the DTC

This DTC shall run when the ignition is On.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

Open in CAN communication circuit.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The A/C compressor will be disabled.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The DTC will clear when conditions for setting the DTC have been repaired.

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Install a scan tool.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. With the scan tool, clear the DTC and then recheck to see if DTC resets.

Does DTC reset?
