Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1245830 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the input shaft speed (ISS) sensor electrical connector.

    3. Object Number: 1245829 Size: SH
  3. Remove the ISS sensor retaining bolt.
  4. Remove the ISS sensor from the transaxle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1245829 Size: SH

    Important: Lubricate the O-ring with ISU DEXRON III.

  1. Install a new O-ring on the ISS sensor.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the ISS sensor and retaining bolt into the transaxle case.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the ISS sensor retaining bolt to 5.4 N·m (48 lb in).

  3. Connect the ISS sensor electrical connector.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
