Some customers may comment on a metallic knocking noise coming from the front of the vehicle when accelerating or braking.
This condition may be caused by ball joint-to-control arm nuts that are not tightened to the current specification.
Important: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications (SI Document ID 1283754) in the Front Suspension section of SI for the most accurate front suspension fastener tightening specifications.
Tighten
Tighten the ball joint-to-control arm nuts to 150 N·m (111 lb ft).
