Important: 

•	In the presence of fuel vapors or escaping fuel - observe safety regulations and national legislation. Store drained fuel in a suitable, sealable container.

•	The vehicle fuel system is designed in petrol engines as a return-free fuel system.

1. Open the hood.

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

2. Disconnect the battery.

•	Disconnect the ground clamp from the ground terminal.

•	Remove the nut.

3. Raise the vehicle all the way.



4. Remove the 4 line brackets (1) from the vehicle underbody.

Remove the 4 bolts.




5. Remove the intermediate fuel pipe or the center vent line.

•	Remove the line from the 4 brackets (3).

•	Disconnect the 2 quick-release fittings (1 or 2) using SA9805E /KM-796-A .

•	Seal the line with KM-807 .

1. Install the intermediate fuel pipe.

•	Install the 2 quick-release fittings.

•	Install the line into the 4 brackets.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the 4 line brackets to the vehicle underbody.

Tighten
Tighten the 4 bolts to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Connect the battery.

Install the ground cable.

6. Close the hood.
