Removal Procedure
  1. Open the hood.

    2. Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Disconnect the battery.
    3. • Detach the ground connection from the ground terminal.
    • Remove the nut.
  3. Remove the upper tie bar. Refer to Upper Tie Bar Replacement .
  4. Remove the air cleaner housing. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 1936645 Size: SH
  5. Remove the resonator (1).
    6. • Remove the bolt (2).
    • Release the 3x from the upper front (arrows).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the resonator.

    2. Connect the 3x at the upper front.

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  2. Install the upper tie bar. Refer to Upper Tie Bar Replacement .
  3. Install the air cleaner housing. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  4. Connect the battery cable.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  5. For programming procedures, refer to Control Module References .
  6. Close the hood.
