Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement Manual

Removal Procedure
  1. Lower the window.
  2. Remove rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove rubber ring.

    4. Object Number: 1937557 Size: LF
  4. Remove water vapor barrier.

    5. Object Number: 1937558 Size: SH
  5. Remove the belt inner sealing strip.

    6. Pull sealing strip carefully from behind beginning at the top.

  6. Remove belt outer sealing strip.

    7. Pull sealing strip carefully from behind beginning at the top.

  7. Loosen lower window channel (3).

    8. Remove the bolt.

  8. Remove rear window channel weatherstrip (1).

    9. Object Number: 1937560 Size: LF
  9. Remove rear weatherstrip channel (2).

    10. Remove the bolt.

  10. Remove rear door window.

    11. Remove from channel weatherstrip rail.

  11. Drill out the rivets of the window regulator.

    12. Drill out 6 rivets.

  12. Remove the window regulator.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the window regulator.
  2. Fasten the window regulator.

    3. Rivet on 6 rivets.

  3. Install the window.
    4. • Position the window half way up.
    • Slide the window in the lower guide.

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the front door rear window channel.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the top bolt to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  5. Install the rear lower window channel.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  6. Install the outer belt sealing strip.
  7. Install the inner channel sealing strip.

    8. Important: Damaged water vapor barrier must be replaced.

  8. Install the water vapor barrier.
    9. • Apply adhesive tape to door frame according to the shaded areas shown.
    • Cut foil to size.
    • Allow for cable and manual window actuation cuts.
    • Install water vapor barrier without creases.
  9. Install the rubber ring.
  10. Install the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  11. Close the window.

Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement Power

Removal Procedure
  1. Lower the window.
  2. Remove the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1941002 Size: LF
  3. Remove the water vapor barrier.

    4. Object Number: 1937558 Size: SH
  4. Remove the belt inner sealing strip.

    5. Pull the sealing strip carefully from behind beginning at the top.

  5. Remove the belt outer sealing strip.

    6. Pull the sealing strip carefully from behind beginning at the top.

  6. Loosen the lower window channel (3).

    7. Remove the bolt.

  7. Remove the rear channel weatherstrip (1).

    8. Object Number: 1937560 Size: LF
  8. Remove the rear weatherstrip channel (2).

    9. Remove the bolt.

  9. Remove the rear door window from the window channel.
  10. Drill out the rivets of the window regulator.

    11. Drill out 6 rivets.

  11. Remove the window regulator.
    12. • Disconnect the wiring harness plug.
    • Remove the window regulator.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the electric window regulator.
    2. • Install the window regulator.
    • Connect the wiring harness plug.
  2. Install the electric window winder.

    3. Rivet on 6 rivets.

  3. Install the window.
    4. • Position the window half way up.
    • Slide the window in the lower guide.

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the front door rear window channel.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the top bolt to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  5. Install the rear lower window channel.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  6. Install the outer shaft strip.
  7. Install the inner channel strip.

    8. Important: Damaged water vapor barrier must be replaced.

  8. Install the water vapor barrier.
    9. • Apply the adhesive tape to door frame according to the shaded areas shown.
    • Cut the foil to size.
    • Install the water vapor barrier without creases.
  9. Install the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  10. Close the window.
