Rearview Mirror Support Installation with Rainsensor
                    
Removal Procedure
- Remove the inner rearview mirror from the retaining plate.
 
| •  | Release the rain sensor cover. | 
 
| •  | Disconnect the wiring harness plug (1). | 
 
| •  | Compress the clamp (2) and pull the mirror downwards to remove. | 
 
- Clean the windshield in the area to be cemented with glass cleaner.
 
- Place masking tape around the area on the windshield where the retaining plate is to be cemented.
 
Gently sand the retaining plate (grain P100) and clean.
Installation Procedure
- Affix the retaining plate.
 
| •  | Mix the 2-component adhesive GM P/N 89021329 (Canadian P/N 89020893) in accordance with the instructions and apply to the retaining plate approximately 1 mm (0.039 in) thick. | 
 
| •  | Only press the retaining plate lightly onto the windshield. | 
 
| •  | Fasten the retaining plate. Retaining plate position: | 
 
|    -  | I = 20 mm (0.78 in) from edge of molded headlining. | 
 
|    -  |  II = middle windshield. | 
 
- Install the interior rearview mirror.
 
| 2.1.  | Replace the mirror and listen for the click. | 
 
| 2.2.  | Connect the wiring harness plug. | 
 
| 2.3.  | Install the rain sensor cover. | 
 
                            Rearview Mirror Support Installation without Rainsensor
                    
Removal Procedure
- Detach the inside rearview mirror.
 
Unlock the mirror downward and remove.
- Clean the windshield in the area to be cemented with glass cleaner.
 
- Place the masking tape around the area on windshield where the retaining plate is to be cemented.
 
Gently sand the retaining plate (grain P100) and clean.
Installation Procedure
- Affix the retaining plate.
