Removal Procedure
- Remove the steering column jacket (2).
- Remove the light switch (1).
- Remove the lower instrument panel padding (3).
- Disconnect the clutch control switch (1).
- Remove the restoring spring from the clutch pedal.
- Remove the clutch pedal from the clutch master cylinder.
- Remove the pedal support from the tie bar.
- Remove the pedal support from clutch master cylinder.
- Remove the pedal support carefully with clutch pedal.
Press in light switch in left position and turn clockwise.
| • | Remove the 4 bolts. |
| • | Remove from bracket. |
Important: If present
| • | Remove the retaining plate (3). |
| • | Bend up slightly with a screwdriver. |
| • | Remove the pedal bolt (2). |
Remove the 2 bolts (1).
Important: Do not damage the wiring harness and attaching parts.
| • | Remove the 2 nuts (2). |
| • | Push the clutch master cylinder back. |
Installation Procedure
- Install the pedal support with clutch pedal.
- Install the pedal support to the tie bar.
- Install the pedal support bolts.
- Install the clutch pedal to the clutch master cylinder.
- Install the restoring spring to clutch pedal.
- Connect the clutch control switch (1).
- Install the drivers knee bolster (3).
- Attach to bracket.
- Install the light switch (1).
- Install the steering column jacket (2).
Important:
• Do not damage the wiring harnesses and attaching parts. • Use new bolts.
Install the 2 bolts (1).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Important: Use new nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the 2 nuts (2) to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the 2 pedal support bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
Important: Use new retaining plate.
| • | Install the pedal bolt (2). |
| • | Install the retaining plate (3). |
Important: If present
Tighten
Tighten the 4 bolts to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).
Insert light switch and turn counterclockwise.
