Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

Important: Replace or repair wiring harnesses observing the safety regulations of electrics/electronics.

  1. Disconnect the battery.

    2. Object Number: 1941092 Size: SH
  2. Remove the battery holder (1).

    3. Remove the bolt.

  3. Remove the battery.

    4. Object Number: 1936907 Size: SH
  4. Remove the battery tray.
    5. • Cut the 2 cable ties (1).
    • Remove the 3 bolts (2).
  5. Remove the wiring harness, power steering mechanism ZF.

    6. Object Number: 1944546 Size: LF

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the wiring harness of the power steering mechanism.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the battery tray.

    3. Install the 2 cable ties.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 3 bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the battery.
  4. Install the battery holder.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  5. Connect the battery.
    6. • Connect the positive cable.
    • Connect the negative cable.
