Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the battery.
  2. Wait 1 minute for the airbag to deactivate.
  3. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1937614 Size: LH
  4. Remove the airbag control unit.

    5. Remove the 3 nuts (1) and remove the control unit.

  5. Loosen the airbag wiring harness.

    6. Release the 2 wiring harness plugs and disconnect.

Installation Procedure
  1. Fasten the airbag wiring harness.

    2. Connect and latch the wiring harness plug.

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the airbag control unit.
    3. • Connect 2 wiring harness plugs.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 3 nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement
  4. Connect the battery.

    5. Important: When replacing the control unit, after installing the control unit, program with a scan tool.
