1. Poor radio reception | ||||
AM and FM radio reception is dependent on the following components:
| • | Radio antenna |
| • | Coax cable between the radio antenna and the radio |
| • | Radio |
Radio ON
A short to ground or an open/high resistance is detected on the radio antenna coax.
No action is taken when this DTC sets.
| • | A current DTC will clear when the conditions for setting the DTC are no longer present. |
| • | A history DTC will clear after 100 malfunction free ignition cycles. |

| ⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the antenna coax shield for an open/high resistance. If the coax test normal, replace the radio. |
| ⇒ | If less than the specified range, test the antenna coax center terminal for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the coax tests normal, replace the radio. |
| ⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the antenna coax center terminal for a short to voltage. If the coax tests normal, replace the radio. |
