The OnStar Communication Interface Module (CIM) monitors the Remote Control
3-button assembly circuit 2514 and 2515 for an open condition.
DTC Parameters
| • | Open in the Remote Control 3-button assembly circuit. |
| • | Open in circuits 2514 and/or 2515. |
| • | This test runs once every ignition cycle. |
| • | Illuminate the red OnStar telltale. |
Diagnostic Aids
| • | Check for poor connections at the VCP. Inspect the harness connectors
for backed out terminals, improper terminal mating, broken connector locks, and improperly
formed connection. |
| • | If the fault is suspected to be intermittent, wiggling the harness wiring
may help in locating the fault. |
