Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 894283 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the manifold absolute flow (MAF) electrical connector.

    2. Object Number: 894280 Size: SH
  2. Unsnap the EVAP purge valve assembly and secure out of the way of the air cleaner assembly.

    3. Object Number: 894285 Size: SH
  3. Remove the air cleaner lid:
    4. 3.1. Loosen the hose clamp at the throttle body.
    3.2. Slide off the flexible MAF hose-to-throttle body hose.
    3.3. Unclamp the air cleaner lid.
    3.4. Remove the air cleaner lid, MAF sensor, and hose as an assembly.
  4. Remove the air cleaner from the air box.

  5. Remove the air box mount bolt.
  6. Remove the air box.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 894286 Size: SH
  1. Install the air box. Ensure that the lower pin engages into the rubber mount grommet and that the lower duct fits into the resonator outlet.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the air box mount bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the air box mount bolt to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  3. Install the air cleaner.

    4. Object Number: 896613 Size: SH
  4. Install the air cleaner lid. Ensure that the lid hinge is fully engaged in the air box slots or the lid may not properly seal.
  5. Slide the flexible hose and hose clamp on the throttle body.
  6. Tighten the hose clamp.

    7. Object Number: 894280 Size: SH
  7. Install the EVAP purge valve assembly.

    8. Object Number: 894283 Size: SH
  8. Connect the MAF electrical connection.
