The electronic brake control module (EBCM) uses input from the brake pressure sensor for more accurate control during a Vehicle Stability Enhancement System (VSES) event.
Ignition ON.
| • | Pressure signal does not correlate to estimated pressure over time. |
| • | Brake signal does not correlate to pressure signal. |
| • | Signal is erratic and changes faster than physically allowed. |
| • | Brake pedal does not return completely causing residual brake pressure. |
| • | The EBCM disables the VSES / TCS for the duration of the ignition cycle. |
| • | A DIC message and/or a warning indicator may be displayed.. |
| • | The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present. |
| • | The EBCM clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles. |
| • | Inspect for a binding or obstructed brake pedal or an improperly installed stop lamp switch causing residual brake pressure. |
| • | The pressure sensor is integral to the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV). The pressure sensor is not serviceable. |

| ⇒ | If not within the specified value, refer to Symptoms - Lighting. |
| ⇒ | If DTC is set, replace the BPMV and verify DTC does not reset. If DTC resets replace the EBCM. |
