Makes 🢒 Vauxhall 🢒 2008 🢒 VXR8 🢒 Preface 🢒 Cautions and Notices 🢒 Transmission Fluid Level Inspection

    Caution: Refer to Protective Goggles and Glove Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 1955632 Size: SH
  2. Clean any dirt from around the fill plug (1).
  3. Remove the transmission fill plug (1) from the transmission.
  4. Remove the transmission fill plug washer (2) and discard.

    5. Discard the washer.

  5. Check that the transmission fluid level is even with the bottom of the fill plug hole.
  6. Add transmission fluid, if necessary.

    7. Object Number: 1955632 Size: SH
  7. Install a NEW sealing washer (2) to the transmission fill plug.

    8. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  8. Install the transmission fill plug (1) to the transmission.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the transmission fill plug to 37 N·m (27 lb ft).

  9. Lower the vehicle.
