Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2008 🢒 Express 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls and Fuel - 6.6L 🢒 Fuel Filter Bracket Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Drain the fuel from the fuel filter. Refer to Water-in-Fuel Draining .

    2. Object Number: 1663150 Size: SH
  2. Unbolt the filter from the bracket and secure out of the way.
  3. Unbolt the primary fuel filter from the bracket and secure out of the way.
  4. Unbolt the filter brackets from the frame.

    5. Object Number: 1662568 Size: SH
  5. Remove the bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1662568 Size: SH
  1. Install the bracket.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb in).

  2. Bolt the primary fuel filter to the bracket.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1663150 Size: SH
  3. Bolt the filter to the bracket.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Primary Fuel Filter Replacement .
  5. Start the engine and check for leaks.
