Makes 🢒 Vauxhall 🢒 2008 🢒 VXR8 🢒 Brakes 🢒 Antilock Brake System 🢒 Electronic Stability Program Switch Testing

    Important:  The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) switch is not a serviceable component. If the ESP switch is faulty, replace the multi function centre console switch assembly.

  1. Turn the key to the ignition OFF position.
  2. Remove the multi function centre console switch assembly. Refer to Electronic Stability Program Switch Testing .

    3. Object Number: 1943657 Size: SH
  3. Measure and record the ESP Switch resistance across connector pins 2 and 5. Refer to Circuit Testing .
  4. Measure and record the ESP Switch resistance across connector pins 2 and 5 whilst depressing the ESP Switch. Refer to Circuit Testing .
  5. Compare the recorded resistance test results to the following specifications:

    6. Specification

        • ESP Switch resistance when depressed: Continuity
        • ESP Switch resistance at rest: Open Circuit.
  6. Install the multi function centre console switch assembly. Refer to Electronic Stability Program Switch Testing .
