* Internal Sensor Failure  | ||||
The electronic brake control module (EBCM) monitors and supplies a 12 volt reference to the yaw sensor with vehicle lateral and longitudinal accelerometer.
Ignition ON.
| • | The EBCM detects the sensor voltage is above 18 volts |
| • | The EBCM detects the sensor voltage is below 6 volts |
Internal failure of the yaw sensor with vehicle lateral and longitudinal accelerometer.
| • | The EBCM disables vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES) and sends a serial data message to the DIC. |
| • | The VSES indicator illuminates. |
| • | The driver information center (DIC) illuminates the warning indicator/message. |
| • | The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present. |
| • | The EBCM clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles. |

Ignition On, verify that DTC C0292 39 is not set.
| ⇒ | If the DTC is set, replace the yaw sensor with vehicle lateral and longitudinal accelerometer. |
| ⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test for an open/high resistance in the low reference circuit. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM. |
| ⇒ | If less than the specified range, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM. |
| ⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the CAN bus low circuit for a short to voltage. |
| ⇒ | If less than the specified value, test the CAN bus low circuit for a short to ground. |
| ⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the CAN bus high circuit for a short to voltage. |
| ⇒ | If less than the specified value, test the CAN bus high circuit for a short to ground. |
| ⇒ | If less than the specified value, test the CAN bus circuits for a short to each other. |
